Okay hello wello peapurl I shall update on my Malacca trip!
Friday:
6 freaking hours of bus ride. I almost died sleeping man. For the first time sleeping felt so horrible. Since I was already in the sleeping mood, I slept even more at my grandma’s house. LOL. I woke up at night for a gratifying home cooked meal by my grandma. It has been around 2 years since I went back. I watched teevee while waiting for my cousins to come. The Malaysian channels are actually quite interesting! All the detective & police crime investigation drama serials. My cousins came soon & we went out for supper woo! Food is all around Malaysia, everywhere, anywhere. I swear. Wah rhymes leh. Supper was great! I especially liked the fried squids & fried yam. The beehoon soup & kuay tiao were not bad too.
I went to my cousins house to sleep for fun, but we had to wake up at 5plus am the next morning to clean our ancestors rest place.
Saturday:
I woke up super early today, like 5am or something. So ironic that when I want to sleep I don’t get to, yet when I want to sleep I can’t. My uncle drove my family & I back to my grandma’s house to change clothing then we quickly proceeded to m ancestors rest place. We wanted to finish up everything before the sun rise & eat breakfast together as a family (:
Firstly we started with my great grandfather’s grave, then to my grandpa’s lastly to one of my uncle’s grave. It was hard work man. Plucking out the weeds, cleaning the tombstone, washing the place, ‘colouring’ the tomb etc.
After everything we went for breakfast yay! Hainan chicken rice balls! I’m betting there’s no such stall in Singapore. It is like any other normal chicken rice, except that the rice is in the shape of fish balls, or simply just, balls. Damn cool, & obviously delicious. Haha! I went back grandma’s house to sleep again. I woke up in the afternoon for lunch whee ~ I had a small serving of Nasi Lemak at Ayam Delight. Ayam Delight is like a KFC, except that it sells MUCH MORE stuff. Basically it is a food court in a KFC. Amazing right!?
Then my uncle brought me around Malacca for a tour. Actually Malacca doesn’t have much to tour around. I think there are more food delicacies to look forward to rather than places of interest. The notable few places would be Mount China, where the ENTIRE FREAKING WHOLE mountain is buried full of dead bodies. & you guessed it, Chinese dead bodies. I swear it’s really the entire mountain man. Damn scary yet so rich of history. Next would be the fortress at which Portuguese fought with the (okay shit I forgot who liao) over Malacca for its territory. The other places I’ve not really stepped foot on looks appealing though. Maybe I will go there during June holidays. Hmm.
Next we set off for Portuguese Settlement – a place of wonderful scrumptious seafood. However the place was too frigging populated that we had to change location. Boohoohoo. So stupid la the place has 12 restaurants, BUT, only one restaurant has quality food. The rest of the restaurants are empty and crappy.
We then went to a Nyonya food restaurant. The food there was so-so. Not outstanding not average. However it was the company that counts! :) “With great company comes great food (even though they aren’t).” The previous quote was created by yours truly. LOL.
After dinner my uncle brought me to tour Malacca again. We were planning to go to their jumbo night market. Sadly, we met with an accident,
We waited for my aunty to come back from KL & had a heartwarming time talking to each other about random stuff. One of the major topics would be – to be or not to be Singaporean & National Service. All good things come to an end; some of my cousins had to go home. We took a family photo, ONLY WITHOUT MY SISTER & DARYL YOONG. Walau so sad la the FULL family is there except for the 2 of them leh. Sob sob sob sob. The rest of us who are staying over in my grandma’s house watched a movie & talked crap until 2 am before we decided to sleep. Time passes so fast when you’re lovin it.
Sunday:
7am lights up, bath blah blah la la la la with you ~ then breakfast time. We had dimsum and soon we were off to the bus terminal. Hai. I wished we had stayed there longer Longer LONGERRRRRR.
Hmph I’m booking my first week of june holidays for Malacca. Gonna spend some quality time there WOOHOO!
I had my chem. Test today, quite killer but I hope it comes back with an A1 none the less. Projects day tomorrow then math test on Thursday oh nooooooooooooos.
Abrupt ending, but its late. Time is money; I want more money, so I shall sleep now. Bai!
