Wednesday was a busy day.
Morning was project’s day meeting at SPCA to collect posters, brochures & freebies. Everything was smooth except request for the donation tins. After everything we went back to school for meeting with mentor. We got our commitment questioned & motivation enquired. Without seeking anyone’s opinion, I know that the project’s priority falls below studies & cca (duh). Never mind, what is done is done, what isn’t done isn’t done. All we can do now is to make the most of everything. GO GO GO.
We put up everything, except some of the posters & gifts. I had to bring them back for don’t know what. I’m nice, help to do all the stupid work. We’re going to do up the exhibition on Monday again, do some last minute brush up. After that I went back home to sleep. I was damn tired that day. World cup finished at 5a.m., around there, and then I woke up at 6.30 for the project meeting. @_@
I went to science center at around 4 to meet Wan Xin, Kang Raye, Lucas, Crystal & Hui Xian. We toured around the exhibit, some Pixar animation history cum timeline. It was quite interesting seriously. To me la. I don’t know why the rest so restless, maybe they don’t know how to appreciate artworks like me! HAHA. Then we to buy Macs for early dinner/late lunch. Soon after that we went to watch Toy Story 2, 3D. LOL. I really didn’t see much difference between Toy Story 2 3D & non 3D. But I know there is extremely lot of difference when you watch Avatar 3D & non 3D.
I rushed home after the movie as I needed (more) sleep. I had dinner, then slept immediately.
9plus my cousin came to fetch me & my father to Sentosa Resort World. On the way, we fetched another of my cousin. When we reached there, first challenge was to find a freaking parking lot. After that the challenge was to sneak in, because you need to be at least 18+ to get in. Fortunately, the guy didn’t suspect me(lol), then I got to register for the Resort World membership. Unfortunately, you needed to fill in your date of birth, which I filled in accurately. So I guess I won’t be able to collect my membership card. LOL.
Anyway the atmosphere there was electrifying, especially when I was watching England’s match. There are a lot of England supporters in Singapore, probably because of EPL. England won, USA won, so they both advance to the next round.
I went home & slept immediately. So I finally missed 1 match of the Fifa. Damn.
Yao disturbed my sleep today when he called me at 1pm. He asked me to go play ball at 3.30pm. I agreed & continued sleeping. LOL. He called me again at 3.00pm. I had to wake up since I promised to go play with them. I reached clement community center at 4.30pm. Now you know how long it takes me to get ready.
We played from 4.30 till 7.30. Damn fun! It has been extremely long since I exercise, even longer since I played basketball, much more longer since I play with those CBs(clement boys)!
So that’s my Friday gone!
Hahahaha I shall do some work tomorrow!
OMG I haven’t bath lol bye!

I stayed up to watch the Cameroon vs. Denmark World Cup match yesterday. Both Cameroon & Denmark lost their previous match, so the winner or this game stays alive in this World Cup. Once again I saw the team that worked harder lose. If you did watch the match, you would definitely have felt depressed for Cameroon. The Cameroon players tried so damn hard, but Lady Luck was just not on their side.
Cameroon Denmark
23 Shots 13
7 Corner kicks 2
2 Yellow cards 2
0 Second yellow card and red card 0
0 Red Cards 0
54% Possession (%) 46%
This is the breakdown of the match from http://www.fifa.com/worldcup/matches/round=249722/match=300061475/index.html
You may say Denmark’s keeper was good, but seriously I felt that Cameroon deserved to win for their efforts.
After all these, I realized I learnt something about myself.
I admire, I respect, and I salute teams / athlete / anyone who work hard, who put in their best. I love those people so damn much, that I hate seeing those people lose or fail.
However, we must all understand that efforts doesn’t mean results.
If you put all you have into whatever you do, you won't eliminate failure.
If you put everything you have got into everything you do, you won't eliminate disappointment.
So why bother?
The answer is, " For you own self-respect."
When your personal philosophy is, " I will do my best, regardless," you will always stand tall in your own estimation.
So everyone, please do your best in everything.
Respect, for those who’ve done their best.
Respect, for Cameroon.
& definitely, respect for, Boston Celtics who have just fallen from the NBA Finals.

It's do or die ... Win or go home. ~ Rajon Rondo

With the end of yesterday’s Game 7 NBA Finals, Los Angeles Lakers have won 2010 NBA Finals, & crowned NBA Champions (back-to-back) for the 16th time in history. This victory would surely have been damn sweet for Lakers, however, it definitely is heart-wrecking for Celtics.
After taking a look at Boston Celtics journey to the NBA Finals, you must admit that they have come a long way. An arduous & exhausting one. Sadly, they fell short of one game in the finals. However they were worthy opponents. They won against D-Wade & Miami Heats, won against Lebron King James & the Cleveland Cavaliers, won against Dwight Howard Superman & Magic. As a supporter of Lakers obviously I am glad(?) that they lost against Lakers, however I confess that I do feel sad for Celtics too. They put up a damn good performance throughout the series. I love their hustle plays, their teamwork, their wins – it was commendable. It was a terrible ending to Celtics series, but it was definitely something worth respecting. I don’t know why I feel suddenly feel so ambivalent towards Lakers win & Celtics loss. Probably it was because it’s an athlete kinda thing. I seriously don’t know how to explain this feeling, as much as I wanted Lakers to win, I thought Celtics deserved to win too. Perhaps it’s because I really loved to see others work hard, be motivated, & do their best. Haiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii, why must there always be a win or lose? I believe all I can say now is all the best to Celtics for the next season. Let’s hope Celtics would come back next season with the same team, same coach. So here’s 3 cheers to Celtics, Hip Hip Hooray! Hip Hip Hooray! Hip Hip Hooray! :)
As for Lakers, what else can I say? CONGRATULATIONS FOR NBA CHAMPIONS BACK-TO-BACK! It must have been extremely sweet for them to win against their arch-rival Celtics & prove history wrong. Kobe (obviously) was the Most Valuable Player of the Finals, but I thought that Ron Artest was the Most Valuable Player in Game 7, while Derek Fisher had the Most Valuable Play (in the fourth) quarter. Amist all the celebration going on, I hope that Lakers can get another champs next year, with Phil Jackson as their coach, still.
Now let the pictures do the talking.

Kevin Garnett wins the jump ball against Pau Gasol in the first quarter.

Rajon Rondo hustles and dives for a loose ball while Kobe Bryant also fights for the ball.

Today my sister left for Taiwan. She’s going to gone for 2 weeks! That means no more shopping / movie sessions with my sister while I’m having my holidays anymore. :’( But I know she’s going to enjoy herself at Taiwan, or she better do. Let’s hope she comes back with lots of souvenirs (heheheh).
To my sister: Please take care of yourself & erhem (my phiten). Rest assured I & papa will take care of mummy & cousin ^^
Yeah so after that was fitness training. I reached school pretty early, and then sat down to examine gilbert & jun xiong studying for their blocks. Their math issssssssssss DAMN HARD LOL.
So we ran to the gym, in which I almost died because I drank too much water after playing basketball. We did the normal routine & same lala & blah blah. Surprisingly most of the exercises got easier. Hopefully that goes on for the rest of the 8 weeks, improving our physical by leaps & bounds.
Now that I can watch FIFA World Cup 2010, & also NBA, I think my sleep time has decreased terribly, almost proportional to how much my wallet has been emptied since buying the phiten & wallet.
Morning watch NBA, night to morning watch World Cup, afternoon to evening slack or play dota or train.
My holidays = GONE.
But tomorrow is the last NBA match, The Finals, Game 7 – which Lakers will win without a doubt undoubtedly. So that will ensure me some more sleep, a bit.
Conclusion for today’s World Cup matches:
South Africa vs. Uruguay. 0-3. Uruguay is damn good at passing!
Argentina vs. Korea Republic was good man. 4-1 Great match :D Best of all the games till now I think.
Greece vs. Nigeria. 2-1. I was hoping Nigeria would win la!! Nigeria’s keeper was damn good, most of the time.
Tonight got France vs. Mexico. I think I’m going to watch that. So poof goes my sleep.
Tomorrow got training. MUST GO!!!!!! Because I haven’t really attended training since 58436783278435 years already.
But I’ll be training while NBA Finals are ongoing. DAMN!!! I really wanna watch Lakers own the shiz out of Celtics.
GO LAKERS DEFEND THE TITLE!
That’s all yeah.
Sorry for the incoherence in this post my brain is as messy as messi’s hair now.

“I mean, I’ve said the whole season, you don’t win a championship, it’s a failure…It’s as simple as that.’’ ~ Kobe Bryant
“It’s the ultimate player’s game…It’s the game that all the things you’ve worked on all year, you have to do it and execute it and trust and play.’’ ~ Doc Rivers
“I just love the pressure, truthfully…I love the fact that I get to play against the Los Angeles Lakers in a Game 7 on the road. I love the fact that if I don’t win multiple championships that I probably won’t be mentioned amongst the other guys in Celtic history that’s done it before. That type of stuff motivates me.’’ ~ Paul Pierce
“They have a locker room of guys as well that have had phenomenal NBA careers, and I think they’ll recognize as well that this is a special moment that you just don’t get to be a part of — I don’t want to say every season — but sometimes never in your career.’’ ~ Derek Fisher
"This is what the fans want. This is what the world wants. Game 7, Lakers, Celtics. This is history. What do I want? I want to be on the float taking my shirt off, screaming, celebrating a championship." ~ Glen Davis
"We're playing for the season right now. We played as a team and we came out knowing that we got to win. We played like champions. We haven't done anything yet. We've got to win one more." ~ Sasha Vujacic

Just when I was feeling like the king of my world with these stuffs, an incident on the bus made me realize something important.
Once upon a time there was this foreign worker, I presume, who was sitting the bus with us. When he was leaving his seat to alight the bus, he found something was amiss & started looking for it. While he was searching, I caught a glimpse of his expression. It showed anxiousness. It showed uneasiness. It showed fearfulness, & every other word that is synonymous. In the end my sister pointed to him at something that was on the ground. He picked it up. & his face glistened, literally. He grinned lopsidedly & his eyes shone like diamonds. Guess what he found? His phone, which was encased inside his phone holder/case/whatever you call it. Judging from the size of it, it can’t be any expensive phone like Iphone / Samsung Galaxy / something touch screen-y because all those kinda phones are normally quite big. He then kept thanking my sister for her help. It was really heartwarming to see it.
It made me realize something. Those who are less fortunate, they have to survive with the less luxurious things, be contented with the simplest pleasures. However the rest of the world who are better off than them, we are constantly not contented with our lot, & more often than not ask for more, when it is not necessary at all. We splurge our money buying bags after bags, shoes after shoes. We throw away precious food & water when millions, probably billions, out there are starving. Why can’t we think of others first before ourselves? Perhaps one day, we could all realize this simple fact, & put our money to better use, like donate it to the needy or something along that line. That way we could better others’ lives, & make theirs as worth living as ours, as fun as ours. You could say your life isn’t worthwhile to live for, isn’t fun to live in, but had it ever crossed your puny mind that there are always someone who is having it worse than you? Fully understanding that there can never be a utopian world, I guess we just have to work towards it no matter how impossible it may seem.
After processing through all that, I seriously felt quite guilty for buying the stuffs above. However, the only way to ‘repent’ the ‘sin’ is just to make the most out of it & ensure that the money don’t go to waste, right?
Okay rest assured that I will cherish my wallet & phiten.
:)

I WAS FIRST TO REACH CAUSEWAY POINT FOR THE STUDENT COUNCILLOR GATHERING TODAY.
How cool is that man. It has gotta be the first time since 4 years (SHOULD BE LESSER), that I’m earliest for something. Lol.
We queued up for Karate Kid at 3:05 first, got our tickets then went to eat lunch at Breeks.
I kinda got a bad impression of Breeks because they give minute servings & the food there aren’t exactly fantastic.
NO MORE BREEKS NEXT TIME AHAHAHA.
Karate Kid is nice so you better watch it! Yes just watch it okay then you’ll know how good it is I shan’t comment any further in case of any spoilers.
Later was sending Serene & Kang back home. We then decided to eat at Yoshinoya. Healthy meal hahaha but I don’t really like because too much greens. Not that I don’t like but their greens aren’t tasty! If they replaced it with fries I swear their business with shoot up like how justin bieber shot up to fame.
Chongwei, Wan Xin& Sarah went to Cold Storage to buy Each A Cup, which Chong Wei said was healthier than Sweettalk, while I bought McFlurry 8) The new McFlurry packaging damn cute. I like the new spoon!
Soon it was journey back to the West. As usual I & Chongwei took 963 home because we could talk longer. It was extremely engaging to talk to him. He kinda was like a batch mate & cca mate because he knew so much about the school & my team. It was always very interesting to talk about volleyball & results. I seriously hope that he can get into HCJC c’mon! :)
Today’s afternoon/evening/night was well spent but I spent the whole morning sleeeeeeeeeeping because SOME PEOPLE REFUSED TO LEAVE ME ALONE AT NIGHT WHEN I WAS SLEEPING. I ended up sleeping at 2.30am, but they called back at 3am. Disturb my beauty sleep!!!
So tonight I’m going to sleep early because there’s training tomorrow YES! I’m so excited so play ball again.
OH YEAH LAKERS IN 7 GO GO GO HUSTLE & BUSTLE!
Please please please please please please please Lakers must win Celtics!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

DAMN COOL.

GO LAKERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Amazing is... Lakers in 7. ~ MAX!

Yesterday was a day I had to remember so I’m forcing myself to write this out right now.
Training in the morning was wet & great.
I am finally able to change my footwork, though it isn’t very smooth but practice makes perfect.
I’m starting to adapt to a proper hand swing motion, & this needs as much practice as the former.
Conclusion from yesterday’s training: Guys don’t buy FBTs to train if you sweat a lot, it sucks ttm.
& to Bingru: Please start coming for trainings & gym sessions. Also, start acting like a man, not a child.
I & JJ had lunch then back to school for gym training. Since we were around 2hours plus early, we had nothing to do.
We crashed Gilbert at his class bench then we started to play ball. Time passed fast.
When the rain stopped we went down to the court & played 1 v 1, 3metre line, half the court. Soon others joined in & we played 2 v 2. Gilbert & JJ still owes me & Mel 30 pumping.
Highlight was when Mel spiked a ball into Cassandra’s face, headshot. Even if you thought with your butt you will know that it’s damn pain, moreover she’s a girl. Things started getting lil hotty but I guess everything was solved in the end.
Gym session started with vertical jump measurement. My vertical reach is 2.20m. My vertical reach with jump is 2.69m. So my vertical leap is 0.49m. Hahahahaha very lousy yeah same sentiments. But it was a good wake up call.
I sincerely hope the JC’s 20 week training program would be highly beneficial to all of us.
We proceeded to running (running NOT jogging) from JC to the Gym. It was tiring man.
Then it was stretching & measure of our maximum weight for each station.
Note to self, maximum weight as of 10/6/10:
1. Squats: 80kg without the bar.
2. Lateral Pull Ups: 150lbs.
3. Wrist Curl: 20kg.
4. Leg Extension: Maximum.
5. Hamstring Curl: Maximum.
6. Arm Pull(?): 55lbs.
Due to privacy issues, I shall not say what we’re doing or how much we’re doing ^^
So that’s all. & my body is still aching badly now.

Don't judge each day by the harvest you reap, but by the seeds you plant. ~ Robert Louis Stevenson
