With the end of yesterday’s Game 7 NBA Finals, Los Angeles Lakers have won 2010 NBA Finals, & crowned NBA Champions (back-to-back) for the 16th time in history. This victory would surely have been damn sweet for Lakers, however, it definitely is heart-wrecking for Celtics.
After taking a look at Boston Celtics journey to the NBA Finals, you must admit that they have come a long way. An arduous & exhausting one. Sadly, they fell short of one game in the finals. However they were worthy opponents. They won against D-Wade & Miami Heats, won against Lebron King James & the Cleveland Cavaliers, won against Dwight Howard Superman & Magic. As a supporter of Lakers obviously I am glad(?) that they lost against Lakers, however I confess that I do feel sad for Celtics too. They put up a damn good performance throughout the series. I love their hustle plays, their teamwork, their wins – it was commendable. It was a terrible ending to Celtics series, but it was definitely something worth respecting. I don’t know why I feel suddenly feel so ambivalent towards Lakers win & Celtics loss. Probably it was because it’s an athlete kinda thing. I seriously don’t know how to explain this feeling, as much as I wanted Lakers to win, I thought Celtics deserved to win too. Perhaps it’s because I really loved to see others work hard, be motivated, & do their best. Haiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii, why must there always be a win or lose? I believe all I can say now is all the best to Celtics for the next season. Let’s hope Celtics would come back next season with the same team, same coach. So here’s 3 cheers to Celtics, Hip Hip Hooray! Hip Hip Hooray! Hip Hip Hooray! :)
As for Lakers, what else can I say? CONGRATULATIONS FOR NBA CHAMPIONS BACK-TO-BACK! It must have been extremely sweet for them to win against their arch-rival Celtics & prove history wrong. Kobe (obviously) was the Most Valuable Player of the Finals, but I thought that Ron Artest was the Most Valuable Player in Game 7, while Derek Fisher had the Most Valuable Play (in the fourth) quarter. Amist all the celebration going on, I hope that Lakers can get another champs next year, with Phil Jackson as their coach, still.
